September 12, 1861---Secesh legislators under lock and key



SEPTEMBER 12, 1861:      

The Siege of Lexington, Missouri begins as a large Rebel force traps a smaller Federal contingent in the town and cuts off the water supply. 

In Maryland, President Lincoln orders the arrest of pro-secessionist State legislators.
