Governor
Beriah Magoffin orders all Confederate forces out of Kentucky. He is ignored.
On the same day Magoffin is trying to rid himself of Gray soldiers, President
Lincoln orders a Blue offensive to begin at the Cumberland Gap in
Kentucky.
