June 28, 1862---The Seven Days' Battles: Day Four (The Battle of Garnett's Farm)

JUNE 28, 1862:          

 The Seven Days’ Battles (Day Four) --- The Battle of Garnett’s Farm. 

A minor but sharp skirmish just south of the Chickahominy River that cost the Confederates 271 lives. However, the attack south of the Chickahominy River convinced General McClellan that the Rebels were attacking from all directions with impunity, and he ordered his withdrawal accelerated.
