June 11, 1861---Half Blue and half Gray
JUNE 11, 1861:
The
Second Wheeling Convention votes to establish the “Reorganized Government of
Virginia.” Virginia now has two rival State governments though the Unionists
effectively control only the northwestern quarter of the State.
