APRIL 19, 1863:          

The Keyesville (California) Massacre: The 2^nd California Volunteer Regiment along with irregulars, slaughtered 35 men of the Tubatulabal and Paiute Peoples in “The Valley,” ostensibly in retribution for “Indian depredations.”
