July 30, 1861---Unionists bid farewell to Fox Jackson
JULY 30, 1861:
The
Missouri Convention (Unionist) establishes a new State government for Missouri,
officially ousting Governor Claiborne Fox Jackson and the pro-secessionists
from the legislature.
