May 14, 1862---The last days of the Confederacy?
MAY 14, 1862:
Union troops come to within four miles of downtown Richmond.
Many citizens consider fleeing, while others prepare themselves to rejoin the
Union. Talk is rife of counter-secession and counterrevolution.
