OCTOBER 5, 1862:
The
Battle of Hatchie’s Bridge, Tennessee (The Battle of Davis Bridge). After being
defeated at Iuka and at Corinth, the Confederate Army of The Tennessee makes a
stand near Pocahontas, Tennessee, but is defeated. General William Rosecrans
U.S.A. does not pursue them as the Confederates escape.
