October 10, 1862---Another Great Ride
OCTOBER 10, 1862:
In an
attempt to distract pursuit, Robert E. Lee has ordered J.E.B. Stuart to raid
Northern towns. Today, Stuart raids Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, seizing 1,200
horses and supplies.
