February 11, 1864---Rushing To Reconstruction
FEBRUARY 11, 1864:

Unionists, describing themselves as “mostly old citizens of the State”, write
to President Lincoln requesting an extension of the time allotted for
Reconstruction. Elections had been scheduled for March 28th.
