APRIL 14, 1864:
The Battle of
Salyersville, Kentucky (The Battle of Ivy Point Hill). After being repulsed at
Paintsville the day before, Confederate raiders renew the assault. This time
the Union troops drive them west to Salyersville, inflicting approximately 150
casualties.
