July 19, 1861---Reinforcements by rail



JULY 19, 1861:   

After the Battle of Blackburn’s Ford, General McDowell decides to flank the Confederate forces by crossing Bull Run upstream; he is unaware that additional Confederate troops have been arriving overnight and all day (by train) from the Shenandoah Valley.
