March 14, 1863---The Father of Waters is vexed



MARCH 14, 1863:      

As part of the great campaign to retake the Mississippi River for the Union, Admiral David Farragut pushes his command vessel, U.S.S. HARTFORD and the U.S.S. ALBATROSS past Port Hudson, Louisiana, but Confederate fire seriously damages three other vessels.
